ဆင္ဆာ ဖယ္ရွားမႈ အေမရိကန္ ႀကဳိဆို

ျပန္ၾကားေရး၀န္ႀကီးဌာနက စာေပစိစစ္ေရးအေနနဲ႕ သတင္းစာေစာင္ေတြ ဆင္ဆာမထားေတာ့ဘဲ လြတ္လပ္စြာ ေဆာင္ရြက္ခြင့္ ျပဳေတာ့မယ္လို႕ ေၾကညာခဲ့ပါတယ္။ ဒီေၾကညာခ်က္အေပၚမွာ အေမရိကန္ႏုိင္ငံျခားေရး၀န္ႀကီးဌာန ေျပာေရးဆိုခြင့္ ရွိသူ ဗစ္တိုးရီးယားႏူလန္က ႀကဳိဆိုေၾကာင္း ထုတ္ေဖာ္ေျပာၾကားလိုက္ပါတယ္။
ႏူလန္ရဲ႕ ေျပာၾကားခ်က္ကေတာ့ ေအာက္ပါအတိုင္း ျဖစ္ပါတယ္-

ျမန္မာႏုိင္ငံက စာနယ္ဇင္းေတြအေနနဲ႕ ထုတ္ေ၀ျခင္း မျပဳမီဆင္ဆာဘုတ္အဖြဲ႕ ကို တင္စရာမလိုေတာ့ဘူးလို႕ ေၾကညာခဲ့တာကို ကၽြန္မတို႕ ႀကဳိဆိုပါတယ္။ ဒါေၾကာင့္ ဒီလုပ္ေဆာင္ခ်က္ဟာ အျပဳသေဘာ ေဆာင္ပါတယ္။ ဆင္ဆာဘုတ္ကေတာ့ ဆက္ရွိေနမွာပါ။ သူတို႕အေနနဲ႕ စာနယ္ဇင္းေတြကို ဆက္ျပီး ေစာင့္ၾကည့္ေနမွာပါ။ ဒါဟာ ျမန္မာအစိုးရဘက္က ေဆာင္ရြက္လာဖို႕ ကၽြန္မတို႕ ျမင္ေတြ႕ခ်င္တဲ့ ေျခလွမ္းတစ္လွမ္းပါပဲ။

Announcement Pertaining to Journalists / Ministry of Information Censor Board

QUESTION: Different issue?

MS. NULAND: Please.

QUESTION: Burma.

MS. NULAND: Yeah.

QUESTION: The Burmese authorities announced that they’re going to end prepublication censorship. How does the United States see this? Is this a positive step? There’s obviously still quite a bit of self-censorship. There’s state media that probably isn’t the freest in the world? How does the United States see this step (inaudible)?

MS. NULAND: Well, thanks for that, Shaun. Obviously we welcome the announcement to the Burmese – of the Burmese Government that journalists are no longer going to need to pre-submit their articles to the Ministry of Information Censor Board. So that’s positive. That said, the Censor Board itself has not been eradicated, which is obviously a step that we would like to see the Burmese Government take, because they continue to monitor the press.
